Paris

Paris

 English version above the vidéo of the French national anthem

Last Friday , November 13, I was watching with Janine the match of soccer France-Germany.at the TV . As soon as the end of the match a special  page of news announced  horrible events happened in the centre in Paris around the stadium and principally in the streets around the Place de la République . And step to step the dimensions of the terrorist attack was discovered and announced .: people had been killed by guns at the terraces of cafes and 90 others killed in a show room  where they were  listening a concert . The horror was unthinkable We have no family members in Paris ; but I often went in Paris  at the Place de la République  when I was not retiree . My hotel was there and at night I had a meal at different  not far  restaurants . So I figured very well  the location of the crimes (129 dead and 350 wounded people ! A true nightmare)

The days after Janine and I were upset ;Besides the radio and TV spoke only of that . But  France  got the worldwide support. On my page facebook  where now many ancient Xangafriend   are, I have been amazed by the avalanche of comforting words and the love of France : words, ”I like “  quotes, French flags, video with national anthem, …. On WordPress also  many  friends worried about us . I thanks all of you .   All the nations in the world were saying “ we are French “ like at September 11, 2001  everyone said I am American .

Almost of the murderers have been killed excepted one. We have to let our government act  to crush the terrorists  in the unity of the nation and with the help of  all of the allies in the world .

Vive la France!

La Marseillaise , French national anthem , sung in an unexpected way by the choir and orchestra of New York Metropolitan Opera like a tribute to the victims in Paris of November 13 2015. Thanks America

France was our friend from the beginning of our founding. You were right there beside us…Our closest friend and ally. You are in our hearts and our prayers. I think your president is acting firmly and swiftly to protect France…to protect the innocent people. There is evil rearing it’s ugly head all over the world. We fought the Nazi’s but some of the ideals seem to remain. We must always fight for our freedoms. Always. As Christians, we believe in freedom…

    There are too many people suffering.. I will NEVER reject my faith, Christ is my Savior. They can cut off my head but they won’t kill my soul!

  6. Marilyn Thysell says:

No western country is safe. What do we do next? We pray for strong leaders of each country and that they will do the right thing. Peace and blessings to France and to you and your family. I will pray for your safety and that the terror doesn’t come to your city. ❤ Marilyn

  13. Zakiah says:

    As a Muslim, I am embarrassed that these terrorists would stain the great religion of Islam and kill, murder and spread carnage. These people are not Muslims. They are animals and don’t know a thing about Islam. All of France is in my thoughts and prayers. Blessings and hugs.

  14. mrswrangler says:

    I was very relieved to hear you and your family are doing well. I could not remember where you were in relation to Paris, though I was pretty sure you were not in the city. Thank you for this update and I hope you continue to have peace near you!

    • .In the showroom there were all kind of people and amon them young ones ( It was a concert of rock , I think ). 90 people have been killed in that place.Hard to imagine . Unthinkable .

  16. Vive la France!
    Michel: you and Janine, your precious family, your friends, the victims and their families, and all of France has been in my prayers since the moment I heard about the vicious attacks on Friday. At first I was so worried about you and your family and that is why I left comments on your last post and e-mailed you. Thank you for letting me know you and your family were safe.
    When horror such as this occurs, I cry, “Why?” but I know there is no answer and I will not ever understand. 😦
    (((HUGS)))

    • I thank you Carolyn for e.mails and comment . This reinforces the friendship and brings comfort when we have in front of us this sight of the hell , even if we are not at the place Thanks again and love ..

  17. Lowie says:

    A blanket of sorrow, this just made my heart sink. I can’t understand the emptiness of these people’s souls. I immediately thought of you, enjoying your day, as were those killed, leaving their homes in the morning for a fun evening, never to return. I wish you and your family safety, love and comfort. Much love, Lowie

  18. Michel, I am so glad that you and Janine and your family has not been torn apart by the senseless acts of terrorism. My heart breaks for the people who were killed and their familes. I am very proud to have France as one of the United States’ Allies and I whole-heartedly support France and all her people!

  19. This is a time when all the people of the world and all the nations of the world must unite in support of one another to defeat terrorism. We are no longer only citizens of France, Germany, Italy, England, the United States, and other countries. We are citizens of the world and we must take care of each other. I am glad that your family is safe. I am greatly saddened by the sorrow that these events have brought to so many people.

  20. attatudy says:

    Michel, I’m watching the news at this moment and I see they have more suspects in terror captured and 2 more who were involved dead. Viva la France! Also 2 airlines here in the US grounded due to threats of terror late last night. I fear this is only the beginning but I am resolved in supporting all those that are trying to put these barbarians down. I fear for the Muslim community here an around the free world, that may be used as a scapegoat for what isis is doing, it is already happening. Like in world war 2 when Japanese American citizens where rounded up and put in containment camps like criminals just because they were Japanese. I pray this history doesn’t repeat itself.

  21. God Speaking To Anne Terri Through The Holy Spirit: My Heart is with everyone in Paris, and has been for sometime. AMEN”
    Dieu qui parle à Anne Terri par l’Esprit Saint: My Heart est avec tout le monde à Paris, et a été pendant un certain temps. AMEN”

  22. mlbncsga says:

    I’ve been praying for us all, even the lowly terrorist, can you imagine what life would be like to live with such dark and sick souls, I thank God everyday for the light he provides me, and I thank Him for people like you and Janine and the gracious people who have commented here, but I can’t stop thinking of Matthew at 5:44: “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
    45: “That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.”

    Darkness cannot drive out darkness;
    only light can do that.
    Hate cannot drive out hate;
    only love can do that.
    Martin Luther King Jr.

    I’m so very glad your family is safe…ILYM
