A cheval en toutes directions
Riding in all directions
English version below the pictures

My elder daughter Carole, whom I call the Duchess, has the passion of riding the countryside around her house and beyond ( in an area called le BOULONNAIS in Northern France). She is accompanied by young women as passionate as she is. She discovers old villages that she takes pictures put on Facebook. The view of these villages reminds me of my youth spent in the same region but at the time they were much more alive.

But she and her companions sometimes go much further. Crossing forests, she goes to the seaside and strolls on the deserted beach.
She feels deep sensations and must surely meet God.

She is supported by her Knight Thierry who prefers to drive a carriage. It is possible for him with his two spirited horses to rescue and supplies to the starving horsewomen!
This is both beautiful and delightful, a fairytale come true. The Duchess is most fortunate! ♥️
This region is captivating, Holly with diversified landscapes . I am born in this area .
A dream Michel. I’m not sure where it is. I traveled through the Alsace area , is it near?
No Alsace is at the East of France and Boulonnais is completely at the west in front of England
Ah! It is beautiful! But all if Framce is beautiful!
Lovely photos. I am trying to remember where the phrase “riding off in all directions” comes from. How wonderful to ride along the beach and through such scenic places.
I have to confess Kathy I used this phrase on my own . I am happy by your visit.
Lovely pictures. Looks like a very nice place to live.
I think so . You would be happy with your motorbike in this area ! 🙂
Wonderful pictures and thankful you share them with us. A life so different than what I live here.
Yes Bonnie .My daughter is grateful.
Very neat. Hope your doing well my friend
I maintain rather well . I often take a rest. The gardening is very reduced. .
I think that my mom would be reducing hers if I did not help
You are a good daughter.I remember when you did it
We work together all summer
This is beautiful . is your mother ‘s garden large ?
Its probably 20 by 30 feet. Mine is 45 by 60 feet. We live 4 blocks apart. Cucumbers do well at her place but does poorly at mine. Watermelon and sweet potatoes love my garden to grow in but not hers.
Your gardens complete each other in surface and by the products . 🙂
Yes
A beautiful place to live and ride horses!
Yes, Nico, the place is perfect for rides in the fields, in the forests and on the beach
Wonderful.
What a lovely way to enjoy her leisure! And to have that back up of food is vital 🙂
Yes , Kate ;the back up is needed for those who want to travel far away ! 🙂
lol our walking back would be to call Dad for a lift home when we’d tramped too far 🙂
Thank you. You know I always love to hear about your daughter and her horses! The photos are just lovely.
Thank you Judy for my daughter and for the photos. Those last often are taken by Carole
What a marvelous passtime they have! I’m jealous. The villages are most charming, but I agree, the reward at the end is the sublime seaside. Bravo!
Yes, Neil, their sense of endeavor is well rewarded.
And the seaside makes unanimity
Oh, how wonderful, Michel! 🙂
Please thank Duchess Carole for letting us go on such a beautiful adventure with her via photos! 🙂 And how kind of Knight Thierry to be such a good helper! 🙂

Spring may be starting here in Michigan. I don’t know if we are all done with snow, but at least the temperature is better.
In Michigan,Rachel ,you often are “spoiled ” by the amount of snow. Fortunately you are able to face. The same for your friendship that is constant across the years

Michel, Carol McKay Harper wanted me to tell you that she DOES read your WordPress posts, but if she comments, it is on Facebook. I believe she does not have a page here on WordPress, so does not comment here. She certainly hasn’t forgotten you!! Right now, she is still in the hospital after her back surgeries, and she cannot be released until her pain is controlled. She wanted you to know that she hasn’t forgotten about you at all!
