Jamais contents du temps.
English version below the French text
Quelques exemples:
We often hear people around us talking about weather which does not often let them happy

About beautiful sunny days some people become quickly fed up with this dangerous burning sun!

Et maintenant c’est la sécheresse . Rien ne poussera dans les jardins . On est obligé d’arroser
And now it is the drought! Not any veggies will grow up: we need to water. We are tired

Et maintenant il pleut . Quel triste temps !!
And , now here is the rain ! What a sad weather!

Ah! the fog ! Not good for the health and for the driving! Not funny! 😦

Yes snow is beautiful but the cars or trucks driver do not like it and you know why!

Et maintenant c’est le gelée . Le thermomètre ne ment pas. Quand en sortirons-nous ?
And now it’s the frost! The thermometer doesn’t lie! when will we leave this cold weather ?
I illustred with bad small drawings those complaints we often hear. I smiled to making this ….:)
Tu as raison Stéphaanie
Bravo!
Amitiés
Michel
Your illustrations remind me of one of my favorite books, “Le Petit Prince”!
I do not deserve this compliments which make me very honored ! Thank you ❤
We are never satisfied .
but you can be satisfied , Gail , with your family and your art. ❤
delightful art Michel … sadly some must always whine, I prefer to look for the positives! Nice post, hope some of those miserable souls read this post 🙂
Better laugh than cry, Kate . Yes better to see what is positive than always be in a somber mood ! ❤
I think so, makes life much more enjoyable 🙂
Singing love, singing life!
🙂
I enjoyed your drawings. I should try such. Sun is out with wind, but nice enough to sit outside awhile. I read a bit and then broke off some long Nandina. (should pay to have that done). I was out with Mr. Grey, he has wandered off because Wil was back there too. He’ll be back for supper.
It ‘ s a pleasure to read this . Reading and gardening under the sun is a pleasure for you and Mr Grey! ❤
I have always enjoyed your drawings, Michel!
Much love to you, Janine and the family, ❤
Lavinia
They are simple little quick sketches.
Thanks , Lavinia. ❤
We all need to learn to be more thankful. I once talked to a young man from Chicago who moved to California. He told me people who live in Calif. complain more about the weather than people who live in the North. I think he’s right. Californians think they deserve good weather just because they live there. Those of us in Illinois and Indiana are so happy for good weather when it comes that we smile and talk about how nice it is to everyone we see.
Yes Gracia We have to know how to be content with what we have. ❤
I love your illustrations. This post made me smile too.
So we both are smiling, Elizabeth!! 🙂
Thank you for making this post…and your drawings, Michel! You brought smiles to us, too! 🙂
I ALWAYS enjoy your wonderful drawings! You should let someone make them into a book for your great-grandkids! 🙂
I love the weather changes…I like the variety in each…sunny, snowy, rainy, windy, cloudy, etc…they all have their positives to me! 🙂 And the more well-seasoned (older) I get…the faster time goes by…so each season is a joy to see and enjoy! 🙂
HUGS!!! 🙂
You are right Carolyn. Does not the changes of weather bring a well balanced nature ?
Thank you for your compliments . ❤
I think your drawings are charming, Michel!
Thanks, Doug, those drawings are little sketches, quicly done ! 🙂
They have a spontaneous feel that makes them charming!
Spontaneous : I agree, Doug.
I have just commented your previous post that I had missed .
Good idea🌷🌷🌷
Michel, you smiled while creating this post…It made me smile reading it and looking at the engaging artwork. The drawings are very charming and illustrate your point so well.
Wishing you a sunny day…unless you were hoping for fog, of course! 🙂
Love ❤
Cheryl
I am glad, Cheryl, you were smiling at watching the sketches . Thanks for your wishes of sunny days. We need them ! 🙂
well done, michel. love your illustrations which so accurately depict each weather condition. thanks for bringing an extra smile to my day.
I am glad , Joyce, my small post made you smile . ❤
bonsoir Michel,
I love your illustrations. They remind me of James Thurber. ❤
I am honored, Caroline. but I don’t deserve it. ❤
Love your post including the little drawings. It made me laugh and realize that is how many of us seen bad winter weather. You have a great day Michel. ❤
Did you get a bad weather in Whashington State, Marilyn ? Not sure!
Love ❤
Michel
do you know what we would say at school – there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing choices
when i moved here, i knew they had ‘a lot’ of weather
i bought good boots – rain, snow, ice
good coats – rain, winter, windbreaker
i have to take the dog out all the time – best be dressed well then i don’t have to complain 🙂
Weather is surprising, Marlaine.. I went to Ontario in December 2001 , outfitted like going to the artic circle and you know what ? No snow , no cold, a sweet temperature arounnd Toronto! ❤
Alas , I am never happy with the weather! I should know better…….we get what the good LORD gives us!
Love your drawings Michel. Hope you and Janine are doing well.
Thank you for the birthday wishes!
We say in France we have to take the weather such it comes, Gayle !! 🙂 Wise saying ! 🙂
Michel, I LOVE your drawings!! I have to say I’m happy with whatever the weather does. It’s all natural and we have to live with it, no matter what we think about it. 😀
I agree Marion and I say like above : we have to take the weather such it comes!! This is a wise saying! 🙂 ❤
I agree Michel. The weather is just crazy. When it is sunny, we long to have some cold. But when it is cold, we long for the summer. And in between the rain can spoil days.
I like the way you say that, Angy, with humor! 🙂
As I type this Michel its snowing here , it does look beautiful , hopefully it will still be there in the morning. Thank you for our Christmas card, it was lovely xx
OMG! The Reds are going to become white !!! 🙂
I am glad you received the Christmas card , Julie and John.
Bonjour.
Good morning / evening Michel. You’re so right, no matter the weather there is someone who complains. My eldest son hates the cold now. I hate the heat. Neither is willing to compromise comfort for moving to a more mutually acceptable climate. For now; because none of us are getting any younger. By the way, I love your little illustrations!
❤️ Christine
Whatever the weather we like, we have to adapt, Christine ! 🙂
I hope you are fully recovered . ❤
Wherever we live, we can always find something to complain about when it comes to weather….Even in France. But there is a song called “April in Paris’ Sounds like Paris would be the place to be in April. Your illustrations are so very clever…so true. We are just never happy. Although the last couple days here in Central Fl are just about perfect…We have hot humid summers that we suffer. In Ohio, January was cold, snowy and ugly and we had to look forward to February which was also awful! You take care now … no matter what the weather…stay well. I enjoy your talents here.
What a relief to read you, Françoise .
I am so happy of this and also you comfort me .
You are right to say “no matter what the weather ….” Thanks for your encouragements
Love ❤
Michel
Amitié et bonne année
Your drawings are very nice, and I’m glad drawing them put a smile on your face ❤️
We human beings never seem to be satisfied with the weather, huh?
So true, Suzy! and I am so glad to read your kind comment! . ❤
LOL!
Thank you for this funny post.
Whether the weather is cold,
Or whether the weather is hot,
We’ll weather the weather
Whatever the weather
Whether we like it
Or not!
Thanks for this poem really genial :): Resa ❤
I love your drawings, Michel! You are a wonderful artist!
Ah yes, the weather! We get it all around here!
Hope everyone is well and staying safe! Cheers, my friend!
I am so glad to read you, Larry. . My drawings are only little sketches but thank you for your kind words.
I love your drawings, Michel! I understand the dismay over the weather. Snow has fallen many days in my area. It is hard to drive in.
Love to you and Janine. ❤️
My sketches are so simple, Linda !! but I am glad they talk to you .
Snow is indeed a handicap to drive and to walk ❤
I love your charming sketches, Michel! Your sense of humor shines through. 🙂
Thanks, Jane, you are kind. ❤
This gave me a laugh, Michel. It is so true, and we all have this in common. 🙂
God bless you!
❤ Caroline
Better laughing than crying, Caroline ! 🙂
J’aime beaucoup les dessins! Ils me font sourire 🙂
I’m sorry to say that complaining about weather is a national pastime here in Canada, Michel. We complain a lot! Me too. Maybe it gives us something to talk about.
Better speak about time than politic ! Cynthia! 🙂
Love ❤
