a fisher in the garden ?

Un pêcheur dans le jardin ?

A fisher in the garden ?

English version below the pictures.

Michel working to cut invader shrubs Michel travaillant à couper des arbustes envahissants

Osteoarthritis has invaded my spine and requires me to sit frequently.
Recently I cut the shrubs that invade the sides of the garden: dogwood, brambles, rosehips and white clematis (liana).

Janine is coming up ! Janine arrive !
,Michel, gardener or fisher? Michel, jardinier ou pêcheur ?

Suddenly janine emerged from the” undergrowth” and complimented me. She wanted to take a picture but I had finished this corner. I had to take a pose.

So excuse this shears held like a fishing rod. In fact, do I not look more like an angler than a gardener? 🙂

I’m glad to see you in the garden! Your pose to me is one of a victor after a battle. You are holding the weapon and with steely resolve staring down the vegetation.

  2. You look like you were working very hard in the garden.

  3. blb1 says:

Glad to see the use of the chair. I know all about spine problems and am chastised by friends for doing to much. There is no one else to do it really.

  4. puffpop says:

Sitting or standing…you are still getting the work done. I spent part of my morning pulling unwanted green and growing things from my front yard…Sun and abundant rain brings them on and the bad comes with the good.

    Love,
    votre amie,
    Francoise

  5. You’re a garden warrior.

  6. You did go fishing! Fishing for weeds and green things to trim. Happy fishing Michel!

I ordered myself a kind of seat, kneeling stool that will enable me to get down on my knees and use my arms to help get myself up. Our little garden is doing great. We must have very good ground down there by the pond. I’m glad you were able to get out and do some weeding. You do look like a fisherman at first glance.

    bonjour Michel,

  13. Michel, you look like you know your way around a garden. 🙂 Both you and Janine look very content. Take care. ❤ Cheryl

You look like you are poised to bring some order to the chaos! It only takes looking away for a moment to unleash the wildness of nature. This year has been especially bad for weeds. I have a seat that can be flipped ; one side is a small seat, then flipping it turns it into a cushioned kneeler. My knees don’t like to kneel any more, but the seat is perfect and easy to move around. I bet it was very satisfactory to get out there!

  18. Gayle says:

Its wonderful to see you out in your garden working! Janine looks well too.
I’m recovering from my heart stopping 4 times….very sore from CPR….I’m fine…its was my electrolytes in my body were all messed up. My heart is stong thank God!
Take care Michelll. An God bless you all. ❤

That is a lovely photograph of the sitting Michel 🙂 its lovely to see you enjoying your garden , I hope the harvest is good this year. I am enjoying watching the Tour of France even though there is not likely to be a English winner this year.

    • I watch also the Tour de France, Julie, during my days at the dialysis but I am a bit lost with the various teams and the cyclists coming from all over the world. . I dont think either the winer will be English or French this year! 🙂

  20. nannyfountain says:

    Bonne jour Michel.

    L’amitié,
    Matti.

Whether you are a fisher or a gardener, I am very proud of you for being active in your garden. As much as you can bare, moving and doing your favorite thing in the garden will help you slow down the progress of your disease. I hope you are getting proper treatment and that the pain is bearable. Take care, Michel! ❤
