Janine lutte contre les “mauvaises” herbes
Janine attacks the weeds
English version below the pictures
My legs not bearing me , Janine , my wife , organizes the attack against the weeds .
Here is a report that goes from March to May 2020

From Marsh the lawn and the paths of the garden have to be mowed .

April 2020; The common sowthistle have been ripped off off by full wheelbarrow

It is also necessary to weed the joints of the pavers in the yard. with a tool she bought (with metal tip and brush). May 2020
And now at the end of May the garden is tilled and sowed . We got a helpp coming from the outside.
A wonderful job Janine. Keeps one in good physical shape too! ❤️
You are right, Holly , but she has to take care to do not too much ❤
Hello Michel, I hope you are well and everything is good over there! ❤
I am rather well, Holly. Thanks to ask . ❤
I’m glad to hear that! ❤
Glad you have help coming. Sorry your health continues to grow worse.
Yes now we need help because I become unable to work in the garden.
I understand. This year I am thinking about hiring a teenager to help me stay caught up. If I have help once a month I think I can stay caught up.
In the gardening the art is to keep a good balance .
Yes there is.
Janine is a treasure for you. I know she feels it is a work of love. You are blessed. Always good to hear from you.
Love,
votre amie,
Francoise
I like your kind comment, Françoise
bonsoir Michel,
I’m so sorry to hear about your legs, and health, Michel 😦
Bravo to Janine for her hard work against The Weeds! 🙂 They pop up in the strangest places sometimes! 🙂
I’m so glad some outside help is on the way! Gardening is more fun when shared with others. 🙂
❤ and (((HUGS))) and prayers for you and Janine! 🙂
PS…Our April showers brought May flowers…AND May weeds! 😉 🙂
Weeds are growing everywhere but they need a convenient soil and climate. ❤
Your blog inspired us to get out and do some weeding, in our yards and in the rocky areas, yesterday. 🙂
wet meadows, sea shore, forests, rocky soil etc ….have their own plants associations
I’m sorry to hear you are not able to help. She is doing a wonderful job! Great that you will get more help too.
This is a pleasure to read you, Pam
Janine is keeping fit but so glad that you have accepted help, it’s too much for one! Your love for each other and your property will keep you there as long as you are able.
Glad you are still posting despite health challenges Michael, take care 🙂
Your comment gives matter for thought , Kate. Thanks
sorry, accepting help is the hardest but often vital at this stage ❤
Yes, Kate , this help is really needed and more and more !
then please accept it openly so that you and Janine can enjoy a good quality of life together in your own home … more chances to stay put then ❤
I’m sure the garden will be beautiful this year! Hope you feel better.
Not sure for the garden, Nico, we are under the drought now like the two previous years
Ah that can be a problem, hopefully you will get some rain. Blessings my friend. 🙂
Yes, fields and gardens need water
Yes for sure! Thank you Michel. Peace and wonderful blessings to you.
Janine may you continue to be able to do this hard work. Michel I’m sorry your legs are a problem for you. I have done fairly well since my radio frequency spine work. I still have to toss pain pills some times but not too often. Weather can effect me some times.
I am glad, Bonnie to know you are almost well with your spine .
Janine is so industrious! She has everything under control. I hope the garden is productive – perhaps the grandchildren will be available to lend a hand? So sorry to hear you are having difficulties with your legs. I will pray for a return of strength!
Thanks, Val , for your wishes and prayer.
Yes Janine is an excellent gardener but shes does too much, I think.
weeds are such a never-ending battle, yup
yes and every year !! 🙂
The saddest moment in my life was when I realized I was no longer physically able to garden in the way that produced meaningful results. I’m limited to houseplants. Anyway, best wishes for the best of gardens in 2020. Also, good luck keeping Janine from over working. A few weeds won’t hurt the garden, anf=d, in fact, they help keep the soil feasible, and, dead, add organic matter into the soil.
The problem with plants called weeds is they quickly occupe all of the space of the garden
True!
Nice blog
Thanks
My pleasure, followed you!
She is doing an excellent job. I think I would like to buy one of those tools, as we too have bricks and grass grows in between. It is a nuisance weeding it out.
Have a lovely month of June
Weeding between the bricks is really tiring . A good tool is necessary.
Good to see a post from you. Tell Janine that my husband’s grandmother had a brick sidewalk. She poured boiling water and destroyed the growth. It was easy. Also salt or soda does it says Mike.
Everyone had ( and has) his mixture to clean the garden or the sidewalks. Janine adds white vinegar and salt to the water to prepare it.
Janine is a hard worker, Michel! That looks like a good tool for cleaning between the pavers.
Much love to you, Janine and the family, ❤
Lavinia
Thanks Lavinia . Yes this tool is simple and functional ! 🙂
Wow… that’s a lot of hard work. But it’s rewarding at the end. Do take care.
Yes, Matt we see the change when the work is ended.
Its good to hear that Janine and you are looking forward to enjoying your garden ,even if you cannot be active in the garden at the moment. It seems that we are over the worse now so its time to enjoy life , hopefully your family will be able to come and see you once again.
Have you got a garden, Julie? Is John a gardener?
Janine is so hard working, as are you, Michel! 🙂 Weeds are never ending, rearing their collective heads on a regular basis. 😛
The weeds are powerful because they are the wild plants that would grow at this place naturally. Instead of the vegetables we sow which have to adapt.
Janine is a power worker herself! The gardener’s job never ends. I pray for you, my friend. 🌹
Rocky soils, wet meadows, forests , sea shore have their own plants associations
i have never seen that tool! very clever 🙂
i am glad you’re getting assistance for the garden – it will be of great help!
janine is a true trooper!
❤ ❤ ❤ ❤
how fortunate for me to know you for 20 years! – you have shared your life and heart in every post. how curious we all are as humans, to want to hear about others' lives.
you treat the 'everyday' routines as the wonderful moments of life.
i have missed this perspective – like those of my parents' when they were in their 80s.
i have found a wonderful book cover that you could compile all of your blog entries – the title reads, "life is made of small moments like this"
thanks for letting me see and be a part of your life
Thanks Marlaine for this moving comment . Yes we know each other for long with xanga
Love ❤
Love Janine’s new weed tool. I think I’ll need a bulldozer to get rid of mine. Because of medical issues, John not able to help much. June 22 he’ll have his first cataract removed. I’ve been trying to keep up with raking, watering and endless weed pulling. Our yardman never showed up this spring. He’s waiting until the COVID-19 virus is gone (which may be never). So after June 22, mowing the lawn will be added to my list. The old saying of: A woman’s work is never done is so true in this day and age.
Wishing both of you a contented summer. I’m waiting to hear about your family gatherings. They always look like they are so fun. Enjoy your weekend my dear friend. Love Marilyn ❤
I wish you courage Marilyn for the gardening. We had no familial gatherings since last January because I am ill and tired ❤
Hello Uncle Michel😃 So glad to see you post again because I am always happy to read them. Keep safe and healthy always, take care too❤️
Thanks Isabel. How kind you are .
Love ❤
Thinking of you and your family today, Michel.
I just wanted to stop by with some ❤ and prayers and (((HUGS))) 🙂
Thanks Carolyn for your wishes very appropriate because I am not too well since last Sunday ❤
Oh, no! I’m so sorry to hear this, Michel!
I had you on my mind for days and thought I better get on your WP site today and check on how you are doing.
You know you can count on my prayers. I hope you feel better soon.
(((HUGS)))

Salut Michel! Comment vas-tu?
Rio
My goodness Janine is so hardworking to do all that work. I know you are a hard worker too Michel. Years of tending to your garden, it truly shows but alas these weeds always like to sprout when you dont want them. This is something i never got to do when i was young having lived in a water village. My parents did most of the gardening when we moved to land. And i can see all their hard work paid off from the fruits of their labour.
Stay safe and well Michel and Janine.
Cik Tee are you Tima I know for long ?
Yes its me Michel 🙂 sorry i forgot to change my nickname on wordpress
It ‘a huge pleasure Tima to meet you again . I did not forget you at all .
Love ❤
Michel
It looks like you have your lovely wife, Janine very well trained. 😊. She does a very good job. Hope you are doing better Michel. I think of you and pray for your health Barbara 💕💕
Thank you Barbara for wishes and prayers . Yes Janine is better than me .<3
Dear Janine, what a trooper she is! It is not easy to weed a small garden, and you have such a huge one. I am sure she gets very tired after weeding. I love that brush she uses to weed the drive way and the pavements. How clever.
You are right Zakiah, Janine is tired after her work in the garden but always she goes .
I was just out weeding my flower beds, wondering how to keep them from growing back along the outside of border. That tool looks like ti might help. I sure do admire Janine’s strength and endurance! ❤
