    Gros bisous , Bernard

It’s amazing Raphael and Yris are already 6 years old. It seems like you were just telling us they had arrived…and Elliott, already almost a year and a half! You are truly blessed, Michel. Children (and grandchildren) are some of the best things in life, and God has blessed you with a life full of them. I hope you’re well.

I can feel your joy being a greatgrandparent Uncle Michel❤️

  22. neilc693 says:

Such a lively and happy child. Somehow he already seems destined to be an athlete or some such vigorous thing.
Here is an unrelated question: Are you very far from Lille, and do you have any colleagues there? (I’m trying to locate a hard-to-find (in the U.S.) actes de colloque that met there in 1982.)

    • I have only a daughter who lives in Lille but no colleagues ( I worked in Picardy ). What was the topic of this colloque , Neil ?

      • neilc693 says:

It was a computer science meeting called “Les arbres en algèbre et en programmation,” the 7ème such “colloque de Lille” in 1982 (CAAP 82). (That’s computing trees, not botanical ones. 🙂 ) I specifically need the article by Georg Gati, Galois theory of tree extensions, pp. 125-158 of the proceedings ( https://zbmath.org/?q=an%3A0566.05022 ), and unfortunately I think I must have someone find it in the Lille library for me (if even they still have it) because that year’s proceedings are unavailable almost anywhere in the U.S. (and I do not have interlibrary loan).

      • Neil , I sent you an e.mail yesterday . I need to know your real name and surname, your exact address and your job . Please answer me via an e.mail.

      • neilc693 says:

Done! That account was one I seldom use. Let me know if you don’t see anything in your inbox yet.

  23. mcbery says:

I tried to leave a comment from my phone on this but they needed my name, address and serial number! 😀 Anyways, glad to see you are back and doing good. Time flies by so quickly and children grow up so swiftly! Almost unbelievable when you get to out ages. Blessings, Miriam

  24. mimiwi2013 says:

Oh Michel, these pictures were wonderful to see. It is hard to realize the grandchildren are getting so big already. And that precious Elliot is such an adorable, happy great-grandbaby. You are fortunate to have those little ones nearby. I especially loved the four generation picture. So special! Our great-grands all live so far away from us. Only see some of them once a year. But one granddaughter and hubby may soon be moving closer to us in the next year or so, and then will see their two children more often. Praying that I live long enough to enjoy this. We still have two great-grands that we have not met yet—-2000 miles away, and they do not travel this way. Those little boys are ages two, and 4 months. We truly regret not being able to travel anymore. Traveling was an important pleasure for us! Praying that your dialysis is progressing well again now!!! Hugs and love to you and Janine from Ken and me!! ❤

    • This is a problem, Nancy, to have a family scattered on the immense territory of the USA. I understand this must be painful for you both. For the moment we have only one great grandchild but automatically we will get a lot . Large families !

  25. blb1 says:

Lovely children, grand, great etc. Love the smiles.

  26. Michel, what a wonderful posts. Love and enjoy seeing your grandchildren and your great grandson so happy and growing so fast. You and Janine are so blessed and wonderful grandparents. Enjoy the weekend, ours is getting colder now. Snow on the high Cascade Mountains. Love Marilyn. ❤

  27. julie says:

Lovely photos of Elliot throughout his first year. You are right grandchildren are a great joy. Next weekend John and I are going down to Barry Wales to met my brother’s Paul first grandchild, her name is Evelyn , she will be my Mum’s third great granddaughter.

  28. L Gail Garrett says:

Elliot will keep you very busy. 🙂
I remember when the twins were born….it doesn’t seem like they should be 6 !!
I enjoy seeing the family posts.

  29. Cheri Herald says:

Greetings Michel, I know you never address politics on your blog, but I am very interested to know what might be your opinions on the events of this weekend in France, and president Macron’s statements directed towards our president. Where do the people of France stand, do you think? You can reply to me on my own blog, or to my e-mail (CLynn05@hotmail.com), if you choose to accommodate me in this. ❤ Lynn

  32. neilc693 says:

I was just thinking about the armistice observations too. The manner in which the dignitaries attended seems like a perfect mirror of the troubling times: Putin and Trump arriving alone, the British absent.

  33. Lavinia Ross says:

Those are beautiful family photos, Michel! I especially love the one of Elliot on the horse.

I am sorry I have been away for a while, life has been so busy here. I will post again at the end of November.

  34. Just stopping by with some (((HUGS))) for you and Janine.
    How are you feeling, Michel?
I continue to pray for you as you do dialysis.

  35. Kirsten says:

I love to see your grandchildren and great-grandchild grow. You seem like an amazing grandfather. Teach them lots of skills. They will never forget you.

  36. L. Marie says:

Children grow so fast! How lovely to see these photos!

  37. Nancy Clark Hislop says:

The children in your family look like they will enjoy growing up together. Elliott will learn many things from Raphael and Yris.
