Nuts, nuts and Raphael

Des noix, des noix et Raphaël
Nuts, nuts and Raphael

English version below the picture

Recently one of the twins, Raphael,( 6 years old ) was gathering nuts fallen in the lawn around the house. He brought back a small bag. Her grandmother Janine told him:

– “Do you like nuts?
– Oh yes! he says
– Grand-dad too, Janine says
– So, I’m going to go and pick another bag of nuts for Grand-Dad, Raphael answered

And he did it.

Small spontaneous gestures like this are precious et heartwarming

Et savez -vous que ces noix en étaient plus délicieuses encore ?

What a polite little gentleman…So thoughtful. I think he takes after his grandpa. Walnuts are very healthy. Are you restricted from eating them? I don’t think John was able to eat anything that was rich in potassium and phosphorus. A few now and then though might be a real treat. Also good in baking and salads.

  24. mimiwi2013 says:

Raphael is quite a sweetheart, to think of his grandfather, too. It was always such fun to try to crack the walnuts carefully, to try to get full halves of the nut. Difficult to do, but always fun to munch on what we could separate from the shell. We do not buy shelled nuts anymore—too much work, and not as much strength in our hands anymore. Raphael is such a handsome little boy. Doesn’t seem possible that the twins are this old already. They seem to grow so quickly when we don’t see them everyday!! Such a blessing, too, to see that generation growing up! Our grandsons LOVED their Legos. Their favorite toys!! Very stimulating to young minds! Hugs to you and Janine! ❤ Nancy and Ken

Mornin Glorie…I have been traveling again, so now I’m catching up on your posts. Your Grandchildren are so delightful, in fact your whole family is delightful! I’m rather jealous of your walnuts, our climate isn’t acceptable for the english variety. I remember getting english walnuts in our christmas stockings, it was such a treat, I might begin thinking of Raphael as Santa, him being so generous to good people ❤ ILYM

  42. Nancy Clark Hislop says:

You and your grandchildren enjoy each other. You have given them wonderful life lessons!
