Genius buds?

Bourgeons de génie ?
Genius buds ?

English version below the pictures

Last Sunday Janine and I were eating  outdoor at my oldest granddaughter  Julie‘s for her 30th birthday . While I was eating ( and drinking ) I heard  someone who was playing piano .Those sounds made me think of Erik Satie a French composer and pianist of the early 20th-century. Janine went to the piano to enquire who it was  and saw it was one of the twins , Raphaël ,5 years old on  next August, who was  playing . He played by instinct.  I thought in myself : perhaps will he become  a great musician ?   We can hope. His father jean-Baptiste in the past showed some talent of singer. So, Why not ?

A while, later, it was the other twin Yris who showed her talents . Not in music but in the tree climbing!!  Here is a girl who  has much resources  to become a alpinist . Janine , of course , did not miss to take a picture .

But maybe all the above is a grandfather’s dream only?

I cannot believe how big the twins are, or should I say how old they are? You will have to record Raphael for us.

Mornin Glorie! Perhaps future musicians and alpinists all start as dreams of the grandparents and certainly we should encourage them! The twins are growing up so fast, it seems like yesterday they were born. I was never as beautiful as Yris but I was an excellant tree climber, perhaps if I had been encouraged I might not be a bookkeeper today, which is a fine occupation but not as fun as climbing trees! ILYM

  8. Marsha you always are a climber in your job and family! 🙂 Your motto is : always higher ! 🙂

  9. Such a wonderful family Michel! That takes a lot of hard work and diligence, bravo! ❤

It seems just yesterday that the twins were in diapers! They are growing up so fast! The nurturing of talents is an important task. Dreams can only come true if they are encouraged – perhaps it is time for piano lessons!

  12. mcbery says:

Such beautiful children! I had to look up the definition for the word alpinist before I come here to answer because I didn’t know what the word meant. LOL

It is such fun to imagine what the little ones will become when they grow up. Their young personalities can show a lot. You might be very right in their future professions. But they can surprise us also. Have seen this in our own grandchildren. Oldest had made his mind up to be a Chiropractor before his 11th birthday, he is one now due to his determination and excellent grades in school, which enabled him to get financial help. Others have gone into occupations which I feel fit their personalities. A couple have “surprised” me. No matter what, they are all dearly loved, as I know it is the same with you and Janine!! They certainly keep our lives interesting in our later years!!! Love to you and Janine!! ❤ Nancy and Ken

  19. L. Gail says:

This grandmother dreams of what her grandchildren might become too. 🙂

  20. Wow – so much potential. I wonder who will be the first to start a blog like their grandfather?

  21. julie essex says:

The twins seem to be very different in their characters. Raphael looks very happy playing the piano. Vincent is learning how to play a guitar , he enjoys playing on John’s guitar when he comes to our house

  22. Marion Manson says:

Michel, you have a truly wonderful family!! It goes to prove this all stems from you and Janine. 🙂 Your good values and talents were passed on to your children, then grandchildren. ❤

  23. Such talent I love hearing piano music. Wish I played. And tree climbing/? It is an art…one I loved when I was growing up and if I could still do it, I would. Awesomeness. The twins are also absolutely adorable.

  24. iampeacenow says:

Such lovely children! And how wonderful to witness the children blossoming and doing what they enjoy. Five years old seems very young to play by instinct. What a gift! How happy Yris looks playing in the tree. What an adventurer she may grow up to be. I’m so glad you had a pleasant visit.
    peace & love,
    Jane

Time flies – it feels like it wasn’t that long ago when you wrote a post about their births!

Imagination and exploration is fun to see in children 🙂

  26. Zakiah says:

Grandparents dreams become reality if and when the children are encouraged. What a great gift that the five year old can play the piano so well. He is a precocious child and will be channeled very well by you, I am sure!

  27. Isabel Capillas says:
