ou les projets d’avenir,
les rires joyeux, les chansons.
Pour les jours de grande fête
Elle s’élargit , se multiplie
Et revêt ses plus beaux atours
Autour d’elles se presse la famille
Et se mêlent les générations

The table is ready
The table is awaiting for the guests
And for them makes itself beautiful.
Its red tableclothe draws.
Bottles and glasses are welcoming.
It will hear the gatherings,
the evocation of the old time
or plans for the future ,
the joyous laughters and songs.
For large feast days
It enlarges its sizes or multiplies
And dons its finest clothes
Around them family reunited
mingles the generations

Dear Michel- your dinner table reflects the warmth of your family, comfort and memories! My grandparents always put a bowl of nuts out after dinner. I think it was a strategy to keep us there, lingering over coffee and conversation while the candles burned down! Love to you and Janine—-Happy New Year! ❣❣❣

Our tables for special family dinners are never nicely set. Someday, if I ever have my own home, I would like to set my table with pretty napkins, centerpieces, etc.
