Janine and the wallpaper

Janine et le papier peint.
Janine and the wallpaper

English version below the short video (45 seconds)

My wife Janine was finishing to stick wallpaper in our bedroom near my personal office when I thought to take a row of 7 photos in 45 seconds. This allows to realize how many mouvments my wife did in 45 seconds . I am ashamed when I compare to my work style to tidy my office (see the previous post )

– first: she is standing up, adjusting the paper

– second: she bends over to adjust again

-then she tries to improve

– she takes off  the edges  of paper and begin again

-she puts glue

-she arranges again  the edges for a good collage

-she ends the work on the lower of the wall

When I see this bee at work I feel like a lazy lizard !!

Janine is more brave than me when it comes to working with wall paper. She is so talented. You don’t want me to paint walls either. I’m covered in paint, now John paints and not a drop on him. lol You two have a wonderful day. ❤ Marilyn

  2. blb1 says:

I can only see her movements, your goal I guess. Now can we see the finished wall?
I guess I join you in the ‘lazy lizard’ department. I have two speeds, slow and slower.

  3. Tree says:

I am also a lazy lizard. I have wallpaper I want to take down and I haven’t, even though I have been in this house over a year.

I love that music. Ravel’s Bolero, no? 🙂

  4. Humor_Me_Now says:

Good Morning, Michel. She is a very focused worker. My wife and I put up wall paper years ago. We also helped others with theirs. It is not a job that I cherish.

I get a pedicure and then a haircut by the pedicurist. She works from bottom to tup. It takes far less time to trim the remaining hair on my balding head.

    blessings

  5. L. Marie says:

    Your wife is very efficient.
    I enjoyed your video!

  6. Yvonne says:

That video was just lovely, so warm and also funny with the little extra bits you put in! Clever man, clever wife. ❤

  7. Heartafire says:

This is so fantastic Michel, I love it so much. Such an adorable wife you have…and talented too. Putting up wallpaper is not easy. I am still smiling…thank you for the day brightener and the glimpse into a day at Michel’s house. Lazy lizard indeed! Love to you and yours! Holly

  8. whyzat says:

This is a cute video! I have done quite a little wallpapering in my time, and the worst part of the whole thing for me is removing the old paper! Messy!

    • Removing the old paper is hard but in the past the first layer of paper on the wall was made with newspapers . So it happened to me when I was on my stepladder to read the news of 1947 . This refresh your memory and makes you travel in the past!! 🙂

  9. mrswrangler says:

I dislike wall paper. Would rather paint

  10. puffpop says:

She is a truly remarkable and energetic lady but…..you are no slouch and definitely not a “lazy lizard” After all, I think she might be a bit younger and at our age, a year , even 6 months, can make a huge difference. You both work hard and are productive…Removing wallpaper is the worst!! I remember doing that a long time ago and it was very messy and tedious and I was 50 plus years younger than I am now…

  11. guestbrief says:

Your wife is a talented Paper hanger! and you are a Videographer!! What a combination. Makes every area of your home a beautiful teaching spot. thank you for sharing this and warmest wishes to Janine! ❤

  12. That is such a cute vid, Michel! And Janine IS a very busy bee! Did you know?! Lazy lizards make good supervisors! 😉 😛
The music you chose is perfect! and YAY for bubble blowing! 😀
Ha…maybe Janine could wall paper your office with all the sheet music that avalanched??!! 😀
❤ and (((HUGS))) to you and Janine! 🙂
PS…I am not a busy bee or a lazy lizard…I am a madcap monkey! 😛

  13. Rachel says:

We each have our own style , my friend! Thankfully, we are not all the same. 🌹

  14. jstnotherday says:

hehehehe – We all have our own methods…. personally I like lizards 😉
bees, not so much, although I have been a busy bee quite a lot in my life. 🙂 … a few have even been stung by me from time to time… always with an apology thought. 😀
As I told in your last post… I work more like a lizard now also. 🙂

I have been trying to learn how to make video’s like this. It is my latest endeavor. I love your choice of music. 🙂
Kudo’s to busy worker bee Janine. 🙂

  15. Gill McGrath says:

Bless you Michel. What a lovely gift for your wife you have made with this warm beautiful story on film. It is filled with love and affection and the music is perfect. Wonderful post. 🙂 🙂 ❤

    Wow! How cool is that!

  17. Ellen Chambers says:

I am tempted to watch this again. Janine moves fast and very sure of movements. This is a lovely tribute to her and her talents.

  18. mlbncsga says:

Mornin Glorie…I wonder if you played a bit of Ravel for Janine to enjoy while working? I did not know until I searched Bolero that it was actually a cuban dance and not just a work of art by Ravel! How fitting, Janine’s work is like a dance also! Also I don’t think you can be compared to anything lazy…you are both remarkable people, I’m so proud to know you!!! ilym

  19. cocosangel says:

Me too. I too feel like a lazy lizard. 🙂
Wow, but your tech savvy in making that video. I love the characters that come up. Well done. Michel Take care

  20. ruthdetwiler says:

She is such a hard worker like her husband but oh my, I could not keep up with her. I can see she is a woman who takes great pride in her work and her home.
You and your lovely Mrs have a good week.

  21. Janine rocks. I hate messing with wall paper. Love the little extra fun stuff you put in there 😉
I love that she takes such pride in her work. Shows great character.
Give her a hug for me.
    Hugs to you too.

  22. Lol! Let’s all aspire to be like Janine! 🙂

  23. attatudy says:

Michel, let Janine have a plan ticket here, to my house. I need wallpaper. 😀

  24. attatudy says:

Not a plan ticket. A plane ticket. Need more coffee.

  25. mcbery says:

So funny. I know you aren’t a lazy lizard. I have done some wallpapering and I like it but it is a lot of work. Blessings.

  26. I have hung a lot of wallpaper. When I hang paper, Dan usually finds a reason to leave the house!

  27. Cath Singapore Girl says:

And she’s very patient too! I shall remember her as I start my work tomorrow.

  28. Zakiah says:

You, dear Michel, are no lazy lizard. More power to Janine. Hugs and love
